This release enhances the longstanding partnership between the manufacturer and the British band, which is recognized for its sound characterized by expressive tones and frequent use of the wah effect.
According to Dunlop, the model was designed to celebrate the historical connection between the Cry Baby and Iron Maiden’s sound. “This collector’s edition of the Cry Baby Wah pays tribute to one of the most powerful and enduring forces in music history, Iron Maiden,” the company states. The pedal features an exclusive finish, with artwork inspired by the cover of Killers and custom design on the footswitch surface.

Technically, the IM95K is based on the traditional GCB95 Cry Baby Standard Wah, retaining the classic circuit that established the model’s reputation. The aim is to recreate the sonic character found in tracks such as “Wrathchild,” “Innocent Exile,” and “Drifter,” songs that played a vital role in solidifying the band’s identity in the early 1980s. The pedal does not feature additional external controls, emphasizing simplicity and fidelity to the original design.
