PRS Guitars Unveils New Products for 2025
PRS Guitars is entering 2025 with a surge of new offerings that are set to shake up the intermediate guitar market. The brand has announced new models within its SE Series, which include notable signatures such as those from Herman Li and David Grissom. Additionally, the company introduced the DGT 15 Combo amplifier, which retains the classic sound from its head version but in a more compact and versatile format.
This announcement foreshadows updates planned for 2026, reinforcing PRS’s commitment to providing high-quality instruments at more accessible price points. In addition to the new guitars like the SE Chleo, SE DGT Standard, and SE CE 24 Standard Satin Stoptail, the company has also revised the construction of the SE Hollowbody models to enhance their consistency and customizability.
A New SE Chleo: Herman Li’s Signature Now Accessible
The SE Chleo is the result of a collaboration between PRS and DragonForce virtuoso Herman Li, designed to be a more affordable version of the limited model released in 2025. This guitar features Fishman Fluence Signature Omniforce Herman Li pickups, which offer three distinct voices and 13 tonal combinations.
According to Herman Li, the goal was to create the “best accessible guitar” from PRS, combining effortless playability, impeccable finish, and sonic versatility. The instrument melds a modern aesthetic with a classic soul, making it ideal for guitarists who demand precision and dynamic range.
Available in Charcoal Purple Burst and Orchid Dusk, the SE model also introduces a new color option, Mantis Burst, enhancing its visual appeal.
SE DGT Standard
The SE DGT Standard is based on the acclaimed guitar of David Grissom, featuring a solid mahogany body that produces a warm tone with rich resonance. Its sound highlights expressive mids and a notable presence, with a natural response reminiscent of classic instruments.
This model is equipped with independent volume controls for each pickup, a master tone control with push/pull for coil tapping, and the traditional PRS tremolo. The objective is straightforward: to deliver the artist’s refined tone at a more accessible price, approximately US$ 849 (approximately R$ 4,900, excluding taxes and fees).
SE CE 24 Standard Satin Stoptail
The SE CE 24 Standard Satin Stoptail emerges as the most affordable PRS guitar in the catalog, priced at US$ 499 (around R$ 2,900, excluding taxes). Constructed with a mahogany body and a bolt-on neck, this instrument offers a quick attack and balanced mids.
The stoptail bridge provides stability and sustain, making this guitar an attractive option for those seeking practicality without sacrificing quality. Its 85/15 “S” pickups and push/pull control for coil tapping ensure versatility, transitioning smoothly from the punch of humbuckers to the brightness of single coils.
Updates to the SE Hollowbody Line
In collaboration with Cortek, PRS has enhanced the manufacturing process of its SE Hollowbody line. The new design features a carved solid mahogany center block, which improves resonance and gives the body a distinctly “PRS” shape and tonal quality.
The SE Hollowbody II Piezo models retain their five-layer laminated maple top and back, increasing durability. A noteworthy addition is the new color option Vintage Sunburst, along with the capability to combine magnetic and acoustic sounds live.
With the piezo system, musicians can split the signal, sending the acoustic sound to one channel and the electric sound to another, creating rare creative possibilities in instruments within this price range.
DGT 15 Combo: Portable Power with Stage Presence
Concluding the new product announcements, the DGT 15 Combo transforms the well-regarded tone of the DGT head into a 15-watt combo. Developed in partnership with David Grissom, the amplifier features controls for boost, tube reverb, tremolo, and three-band equalization.
Grissom explains that the combo delivers tight lows and open mids, retaining the clarity and punch characteristic of the line. Compact and lightweight, this model is ideal for musicians seeking stage-quality sound in a studio-friendly size, striking a balance between power, convenience, and tone.

The company aims to strengthen its presence among professionals and enthusiasts, emphasizing that innovation and accessibility can indeed go hand in hand.
